The book is focused on more than just administration tasks. With the techniques provided you will be able to perform configurations and upgrades for which you would normally require a Visual Studio solution. This is not to say that VS solutions are a thing of a past; this book will demonstrate exactly how you can use both PowerShell to automate configuration of new solution deployments or simplify an upgrade or configuration of an existing portal.
